J. Phoenix Smith, MSW
A public health leader and strategist with 20 years of experience supporting healthcare systems, government agencies, universities, and community-based organizations. Her work focuses on health equity, chronic illness, mental health, HIV and sexual health, and community- and healing-centered approaches to care.
Phoenix is the creator of Liberation Ecotherapy® — a healing justice framework exploring the relationship between nature, mental health, collective wellbeing, and social justice. She has been featured nationally for her work at the intersection of public health, ecotherapy, and community care.
